How NOT to get disconnected from SRO!

Well, this sollution works perfectly for the Dual core users in XP/Vista.
After you start the silkroad, go to task manager(Ctrl + Alt+ Delete) and right click the silkroad.exe process, set Affinity to single core that is.. uncheck the box which says CPU 1
and go to the game and have a long day playing without any dc

I got dual-core, tried it, didnt work... imho the whole disconenct thing is totally random, and it can only be fixed when gaymax will start giving a fuck about it

Maybe it's just me though and it works for other ppl. I say try it, it can't hurt

I only disconnect when I'm lagging a lot, specially when I spend a lot of time hunting, and then I teleport to a town.

lol works for me.. i exited SRO and the logged in again.. forgot to do the tweak and dc'ed in 5 mins XD
then restarted and did the tweak.. and i am still on haha

Ok i might be wrong, i tried it just for kicks about 7 hours ago and i didnt get d/c until now... so it might work. If this is true, first of all you're a genius, second of all this thread will get in the news section, stickied. There are many players with the d/c problem.

There are two kinds of dc, the internet dc, and the pc dc (wich is really a error msg) .. i guess he reffers to the second one, when you get a msg like:

CPU: ?????
Memory: ???????
SO: ???????

I'm asumming that a big problem with doing that is a serius increase in pc lag if you dont have a graphics card.. damn .. but i should try it.

This processor affinity thing is recent, and will only solve the "????" error sometimes. It will still appear, it has something to do with a conflict between SRO and your PC. Changing your processor's affinity will not help you.

since i dont have a fucking dual-core processor yet i cant test it
but it nice trick anyways
