Farming - general facts
Ok, since we have a lot of new ppl to silkroad i thought a thread about farming is a must.
First of all, it doesnt involve inner's scarecrow or the fields near jangan
In order to farm, u need to have gap. The gap is the diffrence betwen your lvl and the maximum mastery in your skill tree (very important: if you have 3 masteries at lvl 20 and one at lvl 25, only the highest mastery counts). So, if you are lvl 32 and your highest mastery is at lvl 30, u have gap 2.
Now, why do u care what a gap is?
Any monster u kill gives u both xp (experience) and sp (skill points).
As u prob noticed allready, you can never have enought skill points. Especially if you wanna farm more than 1 skilltree (and if you want to have a decent char thats a MUST).
Here is where the gap comes in. If you have gap 0, you get 90% xp and 10 % sp (from the total the mob can give u). For gap 1 is 80-20, and so on till gap 9 when u get 10-90%. Now thats a LOT of skill points (not to mention you have to kill a LOT more mobs to lvl).
Farming has lots of good sides... the bad side is it takes forever..and ever...and ever... its better not holding ur breath till u level, coz that wont happen very soon. You get great sp experience but the regular xp sucks
But still, farming is something you MUST do if you want a strong char. Although some chars need less farming then others (u cant compare a 2hander with a nuker).
For eu chars its a bit more difficult. The china chars are allowed to wear armors and gear according to the lvl they have. The europe armor depends on the mastery lvl, so when you farm you need to wear lower lvl gear too.
Thats bout it, i think...
If i forgot anything feel free to add
Enjoy farming ^^

SP FARMING
umm yea i dont wanna make anybody mad or criticize those who have kept a 9 gap their whole time playin silk road up to level a billion or wutever but this is wut ive learned. Skill points given per kill has very little to do with what size gap u have. Its based one how many levelz above ur highest mastery u attack. For example a lvl 50 char wit lvl 50 masteriez attacking yeti'z will get the same amount of skill pointz as a level 50 character wit 41 masteriez attacking mujigiz! What im saying is by keeping a gap u get less exp and more sp well why not get max EXP and max SP with no gap and just hunt higher level mobz? So if u have da capacity to hunt higher level mobz then why not? Im lvl 60 kept a 9 gap once a long time ago from level 30-39 but ive alwayz kept a 0 gap since then. all my skillz are maxed out and i never had a lack of skill pointz.. but then again i die ALOT.

What you're saying is true, but this is the "easy" (and most commonly used) way of getting skill exp. There are few players who can actually kill mobs 9 lvls higher than theirs, so that's why every1 prefers to get a 9gap, even if they get crap experience for lvling.
